LOCATION
Nozawa Onsen is an ancient hot spring and ski resort village in the Nagano prefecture. The village, numbering 4,500 residents, is said to have been established in the 8th century, giving it a charm and atmosphere quite unique from all other ski destinations in Japan. Nozawa Onsen is very easily accessible from Tokyo by direct Shinkansen (bullet train) or bus.
Shiro Nozawa is an old Japanese ryokan which has been renovated into luxury self-contained western style apartments situated in the centre of Nozawa Onsen village. Shiro's apartments are situated in the oldest, and what is considered by many, the most picturesque street in the village.
